August… are you serious!?! I haven’t even been to the lake yet! I hope your summer has been as busy as ours… what down economy!?!
So… are you taking advantage of thinking outside the box yet? This morning in the sauna a guy started talking about politics, the current view of America by other countries, the economy, gas prices, etc. and we boiled a lot down to religious perspectives, fear, control, and thinking inside the box. The standard of social behavior is to train people to think inside the box. Thinking inside the box is just that, establishing parameters. In brand marketing, or any creative action, parameters equal limitation. Why limit your brand, your reach, your potential. The reason our company does not feel any pinches is because we broadened our potential customer base beyond the Kansas City market to reach the entire US, as well as all countries around the Earth… with internet access.
So think outside the box, be creative, and encourage your brand to become a brand that a percentage of this world is passionate about!
Here are some great dates for August you can use as reasons, excuses, causes to celebrate your brand, reach out to more customers, and be real. In today’s world, customers want real… or at least a perception of real-ity.

This category is a collection of brainstorm ideas for you to consider when you want an excuse to promote.
Remember… whether it’s new or old, you can promote your name, your brand, your idea, your service, your product, and even your self. That’s right! Branding is about awareness… you want your existing and potential customers to think of you when they get in that “looking zone”.
Definition: Looking Zone - “I’m ready!” Ready for what? “I’m ready to buy!”
When your customers are in their looking zone they’ll consider buying from whichever brands have left the biggest impressions on them. So, find an excuse and start leaving impressions. Leave impressions on your customers as often as you can. Remember to be clever, be respectful, and be frequent. You can use any date, place, or event as a good excuse to promote!
Check out the rest of this category for some ideas.
Thanks!
